Dr. Robert L. Schiffman, MD
Pulmonologist | Board-Certified in Pulmonary Disease
Dr. Shiffman is a highly experienced, board-certified pulmonologist specializing in pulmonary disease. He brings decades of clinical expertise and a deep commitment to respiratory health to every patient interaction.
Dr. Shiffman earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1976. He went on to complete his internship and residency through a combined program at Beth Israel Hospital in Massachusetts from 1976 to 1979. He further advanced his training with a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Beth Israel Hospital from 1979 to 1981.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Shiffman has held an academic appointment as an Instructor at Harvard Medical School, where he contributed to the training of future physicians.
With a strong academic background and years of hands-on experience, Dr. Shiffman is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions.
Mary Beatty, CRT
Respiratory Therapist
Mary Beatty is a Certified Respiratory Therapist who joined the O2 Safe Solutions team in April 2023. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Mary discovered her passion for healthcare while serving as a 68W Healthcare Specialist (Combat Medic). Following her honorable discharge in 2016, she pursued a degree in Respiratory Care and graduated in May 2020—at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Coming from a family of nurses and healthcare professionals, Mary brings deep compassion and commitment to her work. She is dedicated to helping patients breathe easier and feel supported throughout their care journey.
