Dr. Asma Tahir, MD is a board-certified Internist and Geriatric Medicine physician based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with over 35 years of experience in the medical field. She received her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1987 and has devoted her career to providing thoughtful, compassionate, and comprehensive care to older adults.
Dr. Tahir has been overseeing the clinical care at Sancta Maria for over 10 years, providing consistent leadership and continuity of care. She is affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Mount Auburn Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital, and is widely respected for her patient-centered approach, clinical expertise, and commitment to improving quality of life for the patients and communities she serves.
Dori Amadi,
Nurse Practitioner
Doriann is a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner with four years of experience in the field, following a 3-year career as a medical/surgical Registered Nurse. She earned her master’s degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and has since focused her practice on geriatric care, helping older adults navigate the complexities of aging with dignity and respect. Dori is passionate about building strong relationships with her patients and their families, and she finds fulfillment in making a meaningful difference in their lives. Outside of work, she enjoys shopping, dining out, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Dr. Stephen Gordon,
Chief of Geriatrics
Stephen Gordon, MD, MBA is a board-certified geriatrician with a longstanding commitment to improving care for older adults. He is the founder of Edenbridge Health and previously served as a primary care geriatrician at the Upham’s Corner PACE program in Dorchester, Massachusetts, where he continues to practice on a limited basis.
Dr. Gordon is on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and holds clinical appointments at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Medical Center, and Hebrew SeniorLife. He also serves as a supervising physician for United Community Health Plan, overseeing nurse practitioners caring for nursing home patients across the Boston area.
With training in both medicine and business, Dr. Gordon earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College, an MBA from the Wharton School, and his medical degree from Yale School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a geriatrics fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
Tie Bing Chen,
Nurse Practitioner
Tie Bing Chen, MS, ANP-BC is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience caring for older adults in skilled nursing, long-term care, hospice, and home health settings. She earned her MSN and BSN from the University of Massachusetts Boston and has been providing care at Sancta Maria for over 10 years.
She currently provides primary care to STR and LTC patients, with expertise in post-operative care, wound management, diabetes management, and comprehensive geriatric assessments. Tie Bing also serves as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students and is fluent in Cantonese, Toishanese, and Mandarin, supporting culturally responsive care.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her daughter, with cruises being her favorite way to explore new places.
