Alvin Lim, LNHA
Chief Executive Officer
Alvin Lim brings over 15 years of executive leadership experience in healthcare. While he originally aspired to become a pediatrician, he discovered a passion for healthcare operations, where he could make a broader impact by supporting residents and families.
A servant leader at heart, Alvin is committed to fostering cultures centered on compassion, dignity, and quality care. Throughout his career, he has helped healthcare organizations strengthen operations, improve financial performance, and enhance clinical and resident outcomes.
As part of the leadership supporting the mission of the Daughters of Mary, Alvin remains dedicated to preserving faith-based, community-centered healthcare environments. He also serves on the Bunker Hill Community College Nursing Advisory Board and the Cambridge Rindge & Latin School Board.
Outside of work, Alvin enjoys basketball, pickleball, traveling, exploring new cultures, and cooking French and Italian cuisine — especially fresh pasta and homemade dumplings.
Sister Mary Theresa Tinana, DM
Mission Integration Coordinator, SMNF
Sister Mary Theresa Tinana, DM, was born in Quezon Province, Philippines, and brings more than 30 years of experience as a dedicated nurse and servant leader. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of the Philippines – College of Nursing and later completed her Master’s degree in Theology and Ministry at Boston College, which deepened her calling to serve as a Mission Integration Coordinator.
Her love for people, human connection, and her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others have defined her life’s work — both at the bedside and in the community. Sister Mary Theresa believes in changing lives through compassionate care and living out the mission every day.
In her free time, she enjoys sharing traditional Filipino dishes like adobo, lumpia, and pancit (Filipino noodles), reminding everyone that food, fellowship, and faith go hand in hand.
Will Carney, RN
Director of Nursing Services
Will serves as our Director of Nursing Services and brings over 8 years of diverse nursing experience to the team. Raised in Southern New Hampshire, he has worked across the country in a wide range of clinical settings. His expertise spans cardiac care, pulmonary units, trauma, orthopedics, and more—making him a versatile and well-rounded nursing leader.
A passionate traveler, Will’s recent adventures include a trip to Bali and a cruise to Bermuda—though Cape Cod remains his favorite summer destination. A true foodie, he never passes up chicken wings or a good slice of cheesecake.
Outside of his professional life, Will enjoys playing guitar, listening to music, and spending time with his nieces and nephews—often joining them for a game of baseball, basketball, or soccer. A devoted fan of all Boston sports teams, Will brings that same energy, teamwork, and dedication to his leadership role every day!
Terri Rock
Director of Clinical Services and Reimbursement
Terri Rock, RN, RAC-CT is the Director of Clinical Services with over 37 years of experience in healthcare and emergency response. She holds a dual degree in Nursing and Physical Therapy and also pursued a second career as a Firefighter/EMT. Terri brings a unique, multidisciplinary perspective to clinical leadership—blending deep hands-on care expertise with strategic operational oversight.
Throughout her career, Terri has implemented care improvement initiatives and championed patient-centered models. With steady leadership, compassion, and a dedication to excellence, she continues to drive outcomes that truly benefit patients.
Outside of work, Terri enjoys traveling across the US and around the globe with her husband, two daughters, and close friends. When relaxing, she loves spending time outdoors with her two energetic goldendoodles.
Linda O’Rourke, RN
Director of Admissions
Linda is a Registered Nurse and the Admissions Director at Sancta Maria Nursing Facility, where she has dedicated over 20 years to supporting residents and their families with compassion and expertise. A graduate of Salem State University, Linda brings decades of experience in delivering high-quality care in long-term and skilled nursing settings.
Born and raised in Malden, Massachusetts, she remains deeply connected to her community. Outside of work, Linda enjoys a great steak dinner with a glass of red wine, traveling to the West Coast to spend time with her family, and taking peaceful walks on the beach.
Meghan Carney
Rehab Director
Meghan is a proud Lexington resident who brings both clinical expertise and heart to everything she does. A graduate of Northeastern University, Meghan’s passion for rehabilitation began early. In high school, she dreamed of working in sports and athletic rehab, an interest shaped by her love of athletics and her mom’s experience with multiple knee surgeries and sports rehabilitation.
A multi-sport athlete herself, Meghan played basketball, field hockey, and softball (holding down first base), which gave her a deep appreciation for movement, recovery, and teamwork. Although a rotation in geriatrics was initially unexpected, it quickly became an area she fell in love with, ultimately shaping her career path.
Outside of work, Meghan is rarely missing from the sidelines, she’s a dedicated supporter of her kids’ sporting events, cheering on basketball, lacrosse, and soccer games. She loves traveling, with Aruba being a favorite getaway, and she’s a true thrift-store enthusiast, she proudly owns no clothing that isn’t thrifted!
When it comes to simple joys, Meghan’s go-to comfort treat is Brigham’s Mocha Chip ice cream. a classic favorite that never disappoints.
Charles Ballard
Director of Culinary Operations
Charles Ballard has been an Executive Chef for over 40 years, bringing passion, experience, and heart to the culinary world. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, Charles was inspired early on by his mother, who spent countless hours cooking comforting, home-style meals. Growing up alongside her in the kitchen, he learned to cook soulful, homemade dishes like meatballs and fried chicken—foundations that shaped his love for food and hospitality.
While he enjoys many styles of cuisine, Italian food remains his favorite. Outside the kitchen, Charles has a creative eye for both interior and exterior design and a deep fascination with aquariums, having owned as many as seven at one time.
Above all, Charles is most proud of his career in the culinary world, where he has dedicated his life to nourishing others through great food, care, and craftsmanship.
Nick Papkyrikos
Director of Plant Services and Engineering
Nick has proudly served as the Director of Plant Services and Engineering at Sancta Maria for over 40 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge, dedication, and reliability to every corner of the facility. Known for his hands-on leadership and deep institutional knowledge, Nick ensures the building operates smoothly and safely for residents, staff, and families alike.
Born in Greece and raised in Watertown, Massachusetts, Nick maintains strong ties to his heritage—traveling each year to the Greek Islands to reconnect with family. A fan of warm weather, sunshine, and seaside views, he enjoys life’s simple pleasures: classic cars, cheering on the Boston Red Sox, and relaxing with a cold beer at a tasting. His favorite dish? Homemade stuffed grape leaves, of course.
